About the Temple:
Biligiri Rangana Betta is also called Bilikalla Betta, Swethadri Betta. The temple is around 5000 years old and 5091 feet above sea level. Biligiri Ranganatha swamy/ Swethadri Srinivasa Idol is 5.5 feet, and the idol is in a standing posture. It is said that Vasishta Muni has established this and it has been renovated by the king Vishnu Vardhana. Brahma Rathotsava (annually) Nithya kalyanothsava, Mantapotsava, Navarthri uthsava, Pavithrotsava, Sankranthi Rathotsava, Navarathri utsava, Sri Rama Pattabhisheka and utsavas are celebrated grandly in the temple.
About the Facility/Choultry:
Biligiri Bhavana guest house has two floors, wherein each of the floor has 8 rooms. The rooms on the first floor has 2 cots, 4 chairs, tepoy, dressing table, geyser facility, attached toilet and bathroom facilities, 24 hours water and electricity (UPS provision) supply, etc. and each of the room can accommodate 3 to 4 people. The rooms on the second floor are not furnished. They have attached toilet and bathroom facilities, 24 hours water supply, etc. and each of the room can accommodate 3 to 4 people. Meat consumption, alcohol consumption and illegal activities are not allowed in these rooms. The guest house is very close to the bus stop.
